Tips & Tricks ProActive Programming
Need to increase verbosity level for faster debug? Simply set all variables to the required level in ProActiveLoggers.properties file located in $HOME/.proactive folder. The file can be updated while ProActive is already running!
ProActive Scheduling
Struggling with input files transfer for your tasks? If no file remote access protocol (http, ftp,...) is provided within your IT environment, simply use the built-in ProActive File Transfer that will take care of making the files available to all ProActive nodes.
ProActive Resourcing
Want to acquire Windows resources only during given periods of time without impacting the resource user? Configure ProActive Windows Agent that will register the resource automatically at the resource manager for the specified period and make available only the percentage of CPU you specified.
Need to have your task running on a specific type of computing resource? By using selection scripts you can precisely define the characteristics of the resource you need: the required OS or the needed applications. This feature is also available from ProActive Job Scheduler. Selection scripts are run before the task execution ensuring a successful task completion.
